We Align Vision With Outcome.

OptiMythik lives in the gap between where you are and where you're capable of going — the gap between a good idea and a real plan that actually gets you there.

Myth 03. "More willpower will fix it."
Another habit tracker, another motivational video — when the real gap usually isn't discipline. It's structure.

OUR STORY

How OptiMythik Got Its Name

Here's the thing almost nobody says out loud: most people already sense something's off. Not a crisis — just a quiet, nagging feeling, the workplace-and-life equivalent of a wound you've decided not to treat because treating it is inconvenient right now. So you wrap it, ignore it, and keep moving, and the wound doesn't go away — it keeps bleeding money, time, and momentum until it's affecting parts of your life or business that had nothing to do with the original problem. That's usually where myths get made. Not the fun kind — the quiet kind: "My manager doesn't think I'm ready, so I won't even apply." "This is just how we've always done it." Say something like that enough times and it stops sounding like a decision. It starts sounding like a fact — and left alone long enough, it hardens, like a person turning to stone, one reasonable-sounding excuse at a time. Our job is to find that story before it fully sets, and chip away the false exterior to get back to whatever was actually trying to grow underneath.

The name says it plainly: Opti, for optimization — the pursuit of better, on purpose, instead of by accident. Mythik, for the myths themselves — the accepted-but-untrue stories keeping a person, a team, or an organization smaller than they actually are. We don't hand out generic advice, and we don't relabel a template built for someone else's situation and call it yours; we find the actual myth and help you build past it. We'll say the quiet part out loud, too: for decades, work has run profit-first, asking people to fit the system instead of the reverse, and we think that's overdue for a correction — especially now, as the workforce turns hybrid and increasingly AI-centric. And we'll admit this: this industry, including plenty of what we do, takes itself far too seriously. You're going to spend something like 90% of your working life at work — that deserves real enjoyment, not just endurance, so we're not afraid to poke a little fun at corporate self-seriousness, including our own, when it's earned.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE IN THIS

You Don't Have to Carry This Alone

Most people who want to change their situation aren't short on ambition — they're short on support: a guide, a real plan, someone in their corner while they do the hard part. You're the one who has to carry this forward. You don't have to carry it alone. We can't carry the ring for you. We can absolutely carry you.

WHY IT MATTERS

You Are More Than Just a Fraction

Most jobs hire someone to do one job — and, in practice, use only a fraction of what that person can actually do, rarely more than 10%. We believe that's a big part of why so many people feel disengaged, and why businesses hit an innovation ceiling they can't explain or surpass.

MEET JOSHUA, OUR FOUNDER

Founder, Finder, Avid Myth-Buster

I've spent more than a decade building the systems organizations use to teach, onboard, and communicate with their own people — from a university research lab to five years at Conservice building a persona-based content framework that tripled content reach, to eLearning and leadership design at Purple (yes, the mattress company — a few years literally in the business of helping people sleep better, even if my own hours didn't always take the advice). But the industry never actually mattered: non-profit, retail, food service, tech, education — myths don't check ID at the door, and I noticed and confronted the same one everywhere I worked, whether I'd been there three months or three years. My career, industry to industry, has run on the same loop: Identify, Strategize, Build, Bust, Repeat.

I've also lived the other side of that story. Twice in under three years, a round of layoffs took roles I was good at, at companies I'd helped build real programs for — I've been the fraction of a person a spreadsheet decided wasn't worth the rest of. Through it all, one thing stayed constant: people came first, because I've always understood that people matter more than whatever process got built around them. The years around and between all of that added a stint on stage and in a band, a few books, freelance work for nonprofits and small businesses, and a season coaching displaced professionals through their own job searches for free — plus a Master's in Instructional Design currently in progress, proof that even the guy telling you to build the plan instead of just talking about it still has homework. OptiMythik is what happens when all of that finally gets pointed in one direction.

Our Mission

"To help individuals and organizations name the myths they've accepted as normal, build a real plan past them, and put people — not just profit — back at the center of the story they're building."

Improvement and Growth Shouldn't Be Rationed

Things get better when people work at making them better, together, on purpose — meliorism, if you want the formal word. A real solution should exist for every person and every organization, not just the ones who can afford the version built for someone bigger.

People Have Become Sidekicks in Their Own Lives

Somewhere along the way, a lot of people stopped being the main character of their own story. Most people use only a slice of what they're actually capable of — the 10% problem — and it doesn't just limit personal satisfaction, it limits what a company can even attempt.

We Normalize the Wound Instead of Treating It

Every system people build is imperfect, and every imperfection costs something — money, time, morale. Left unaddressed long enough, a problem stops looking like a problem and starts looking like "just how it is." We call that the Medusa Effect: look at it sideways long enough, and it turns to stone.

We Built an Economy That Forgot the Person

For decades, work has run profit-first, asking people to bend and fit the system instead of the other way around. As the workforce becomes more nomadic and increasingly AI-centric, we have a real chance to correct course—to put people, and what they actually need, back at the center where they belong.

We didn't start with a business plan. We started with a pattern — the same problems, quietly normalized instead of fixed, showing up everywhere we looked. Here's what we mean.

PROBLEMS WE'VE SEEN

Why OptiMythik Exists

Our Values

INTEGRITY

We name what's actually happening and tell the truth about it, even when it costs us the sale.

STRATEGY

Insight without a sequence is just an interesting fact; every diagnosis comes with a real, ordered plan.

IMPACT

We measure ourselves by whether things actually moved, not by activity or hours logged.

Myth-Busting

We find the accepted-but-untrue stories that quietly hardened into "the way things are," and chip them apart.

Whole-Person Growth

Most jobs use only a fraction of what a person can do; we build toward using more, not less.

No One Climbs Alone

Growth isn't meant to happen alone, or be rationed to whoever already had the easiest path to it.

Who We Serve

Six audiences, one underlying need: clarity before action. Individuals, Aspiring Business Owners, Solopreneurs, Small Teams (2-99 People), Larger Teams (100+ People), Non-Profits. Each one gets an approach built for where they actually are — not a program built for someone else and relabeled with your logo on it.
